Department of Pathological Diagnosis

OUR ACTIVITIES IN DIAGNOSTIC PATHOLOGY

We make pathological diagnosis for more than 20,000 cases per year including 12,000 histological diagnosis and 8,000 cytological diagnosis in our university hospital. More than 20 cases are autopsied per year. In our staffs, pathologists with expertise in the fields of thyroid gland, urinary tract, skin and haemotolymphoid tissue are included. Also, we have studied both clinical and basic researches for human diseases based on these pathological materials in Department of Human Pathology, Wakayama Medical University.
